Little Christcliff Cottage
This 3 bedroom cottage is the perfect place to escape from the hurly burly of everyday life. The cottage retains all its original character and charm, with exposed beams and slate floors, yet has all the modern requirements to make your stay a pleasure to be long remembered.
Little Christcliff commands a special position within the valley, being both secluded away from the road, elevated with views of Harter fell and yet sheltered against the backdrop of Scafell.
Welcome to the Little Christcliff website
Part of a former fell farm in lovely Eskdale this delightful character cottage and converted barn have been renovated to a high standard yet retain all their original character and charm with exposed beams, wood and slate floors.
The Barn has been recently converted to a high standard self catering unit, providing two bedrooms and a very comfortable and spacious living area. Exposed beams give this cottage great character and with its large patio window looking straight up the fellside to Christcliff Wood it's a great place to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of Eskdale.
Nestled on the side of a fell, it is ideally placed for walking, with great walks straight from its front door, either on the fells or along the banks of the River Esk, which flows from Scafell at the top of the valley down to the estuary at Ravenglass, an old fishing village complete with a ruined Roman bath-house. The river has natural pools for swimming and is a popular place for canoeing and fishing.
